Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been quite vocal about trying to kick back his habit of smoking, but being unsuccessful many times. He has often revealed in his interviews how he is unable to give up smoking, despite trying a lot of times. It was last year when a fan asked SRK for advice on how to quit smoking, Shah Rukh Khan had said that he is looking for the answer in the wrong place, implying that he hadn’t quit smoking.
Back in 2011, when Shah Rukh Khan was promoting his film Ra.One, he had said how Suhana Khan had reprimanded him for not being able to quit smoking, despite saying he would. He said how he felt shameful that he tries to discourage people from smoking in his films, yet he continues to smoke in real life. He said that while he is serious about wanting to give up smoking, he can't seem to find the time.
He further added that one needs time to stop smoking. Hindustan Times quoted the superstar saying, “Today, my daughter told me 'Papa, you said you were giving up!', but I really have cut down on it. I smoke only six-seven these days. I hope to cut down further by this month. Like social networking, if I can just become a social smoker,” he said.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 film Zero, directed by Aanand L Rai. The film also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. SRK will reportedly be making his comeback with Pathan, helmed by Siddharth Anand.
